Rolex Date ref. 1500 Gilt Leopard Dial

Classic watches have a minimalist design that places them ‘out of time’ and makes them perfect for the man with formal attire, such as jacket and tie, as well as for a more easygoing outfit such as shirt and jeans.

In this specific case, I present a classic from the house of Rolex: ref. 1500, the Date.
For decades it was considered the first men’s size along with the Air-King. A watch sold in thousands, but and I stress but, when they are like the one I am presenting to you, a classic watch becomes exceptional. Originally, it was already beautiful, with a galvanic black dial (GILT), but time has given it an extraordinary patina, a sort of camuflage, a ‘leopard print’ between black and brown, where the lettering comes out strongly.
All this is topped off by excellent condition and an elastic Oyster bracelet. An irresistible recipe for enthusiasts and non enthusiasts, collectors and nostalgics.
