The Rolex Sea-Dweller reference 1665 is one of the most celebrated vintage diving watches ever produced.
Introduced in the late 1960s, the Sea-Dweller 1665 was designed for professional divers and equipped with a helium escape valve, which allowed it to withstand the extremely high pressures of deep diving. The first models are known as “Double Red Sea-Dwellers” (DRSD) because of the two red lines on the dial. Rolex later switched to the “White” version, with all lettering in white.
