Prezzo su richiesta - Call For Price
1972: The undated Submariner was no longer alone, the Submariner Date 1680 and the Sea Dweller 1665 were joined in the catalog.
The initial caliber of Submariner ref. 5512, i.e., 1530, undergoes minor changes becoming 1560 and 1570 with detent.
There are nine dials on the white 5512 and they are divided into three main marks (9 standard + 1 supply). This watch mounts a splendid MK2 with cosc lettering defined as Small (medium and large exist) produced by Singer with a stunning hazelnut patina of the trizi.
A Submariner 5512 is also called a “Four-Liner,” this is because it refers to dials with four lines of text .But what does Superlative Chronometer Offially Certified mean?
A watch can be called a chronometer when it has passed fifteen days and nights of testing with a variation of -4 to +6 seconds per day. They are also tested in five different positions and three different temperatures.
Rolex remains especially proud to have produced the first wristwatch to be certified. The superior movement characteristics and chronometric testing made the 5512 significantly more expensive and rare than a 5513, even down to the number of pieces produced: there were 17,338 5512s produced from 1959 to 1979 compared to a production of 151,449 for the 5513 (1962- 1991).
In practice, only one 5512 was produced for about every ten 5513s produced.
This watch combines a fantastic bezel insert with attractive luminescence, all topped off with a genuine, never-polished case-this is a recipe for being enchanted by these watches. And start singing…
